National Apprenticeship Week 2020

Apprenticeships are seen as a viable and efficient solution to the skills shortage in the digital industry with it providing the opportunity for businesses to develop their in-house talent and retain a highly-skilled workforce. 

At ina4, we have always been enthusiastic about apprenticeships and the advantages they provide for both our staff and the company. Training our employees is an integral part of growing our business as it means we can avoid a skills shortage in the office and ensures we have a sustainable workforce. 

As a business, social responsibility is an area we are passionate about and hiring young people as apprentices who are from the Wigan borough allows us to support the local community by providing employment opportunities.

Over the past few years, we have employed two apprentices Connor Britton as a Web Developer and Mia Mather as a Digital Marketing Executive. It has been a pleasure to watch them both develop their skills and grow into their roles with knowledge and confidence. 

To celebrate and promote National Apprenticeship Week (3rd - 9th February 2020), our Digital Marketing Director, Thomas Marriott invited Mia Mather onto his podcast to discuss her personal experience of apprenticeships. A range of topics was discussed from the pressure to go to university to the advice we would give to companies who are considering taking on an apprentice.
